1. Glastonbury main high street
The main high street (the high street actually only takes about 3 minutes to walk along, however if you are window shopper, you could spend an entire day bouncing from shop to shop). Filled with interesting, quirky shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants this should be your main goto when starting your trip.
2. Glastonbury Tor
The Tor - see video above (you can either park at the base or pick up a bus from the entrance of the Abbey on the main high street). What is incredible about the Tor and other spiritually vibrant areas of the world, is that it is possible to explore the myths and legends, simply by being there. The active worship, and the hundreds of creative and spiritual ideas floating around the place, become something of a workshop, or playground for the soul. Simply meditating, speaking to people, and just being receptive, is enough to initiate the mystery.
Everyone has different ideas about what the energy of Glastonbury represents, or what it “means.” Of course, these are simply conceptual ideas about something which is more subtle and vibrational in its nature. Most people however, would agree that the place is somewhat “weird” and “different.” The only way to see what it means to you, is to spend some time there.
3. Glastonbury Abbey
Glastonbury Abbey. Quite stunning, take a picnic, entry fee is about £10 and recommended for those who enjoy peace, relaxing and enjoying beautiful gardens and scenery. View the main Abbey site here.
4. Chalise Wells
Chalice Wells. Another incredible Garden (with a Well). Very unique, again take a picnic and schedule 1-3 hours to soak up the ambiance and create another memory. View the main site here.
