Bristol Science Museum

Another great place when visiting the area, – At Bristol is an incredible state of the art interactive science centre, offering an amazing world of hands on discovery for you, your family and your friends.

At-Bristol involves people of all ages in an incredible journey through the workings of the world around us. Plus there is always something new to discover with At-Bristol’s programme of special exhibitions, from animation to flight and illusions to water!

The chrome-plated, futuristic sphere in Millennium Square is where you’ll find the Planetarium, where you can sit back and take a trip to the stars beneath an immersive domed screen in the seasonal star show, which is just one of many brilliant attractions housed within At-Bristol. Have you ever wondered how stars are made or how to find the constellations in the night sky? Well, now you can find out.

You can join Morph and friends for a journey through animation past and present, become an animator for the day, be awed by icy bodies and cosmic rays, get in a spin at the turbulent orb, create your own TV show or cover yourself from head to toe in your own giant bubble!

New for 2013 – Build It! with Bob the Builder

A new permanent exhibition was opened on the first weekend of the Easter holidays in March 2013.

This under 8’s exhibition means little ones can set to work on an interactive construction site with giant building blocks and a scaffold to climb, allowing them to create their very own grand design. Solving logistical problems such as where the windows should go, how many tiles are needed and who is making sure that everyone is working safely.

With action-packed exhibits, live shows and the Planetarium, At-Bristol really is one of the UK’s most exciting interactive science centres.

At-Bristol is a fantastic day out for all the family, while you discover the wonderful scientific inventions that have helped shape the world around us, and there are plenty of cafés and restaurants around Millennium Square and the Harbourside area to really complete your At-Bristol experience.
